Job Posting End Date: 12/01/2025 Rotating shifts of days and nights with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour days.
Initial week: Start on relief shifts, which may include day and night shifts depending on coverage needs.
Subsequent rotations: Include a mix of night shifts and days off with varying patterns of days and nights worked.
What You Will Do Perform responsibilities related to monitoring and controlling flow of gas or natural gas liquids through the pipeline system in a safe, reliable, compliant and efficient manner. This includes transmission, gathering, storage and processing systems.
Utilize computers and SCADA digital displays to determine operating pressures and monitor and direct flow of natural gas or gas liquids through pipeline systems.
Monitor and assist in determining load requirements using company approved forecasting model. Adjust system pressures as required to accommodate weather conditions and operating objectives.
Monitor and assist with resolution of telemetering problems. Take steps as directed to minimize drastic reductions in pressure caused by line breaks or other unusual occurrences.
Monitor system pipeline quality; take steps as directed to respond to changes.
Assist With Verification And Calculation Of The Following, Including - Receipts
- Deliveries
- Storage injections and withdrawals
- Pipeline system load requirements
- Transportation imbalances
Assist With Compiling, Preparing, And Posting Information, Including - Start/stop of receipt/delivery flows and compressors or pumps
- Storage injection and withdrawal requests
- Field personnel call-outs
- Nomination confirmations and changes
- Product quality issues
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) communication problems
Communicate information and instructions related to system operations and contractual obligations to company field personnel, schedulers, and pipeline controllers from other companies.
Utilize the ONE Gas Communication System (OCS) for the following:
- Emergency/non emergency communication
- Setting up conference bridge
- One-Call center line locates
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee May Perform Additional Responsibilities As Assigned. What You Will Need Working knowledge of pipeline flow principals and natural gas or natural gas liquids characteristics.
Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position including computers.
Demonstrated ability with application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. (Tested)
Working knowledge of pipeline system processes, procedures, and equipment such as:
- Controlling pressures and flows
- Curtailment procedures
- Telecommunications
- Regulators/relief valves
- Volumetric measurement meters
- Application of Btu correction
Working Knowledge Of And Training Related To - Basic programming and use of spreadsheets, and word processing applications
- Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
- Communications equipment such as two way radios and cellular phones
Experience interacting and communicating effectively.
Read and interpret rules, regulations, reports, manuals, and contracts.
Compile, prepare, enter, and post information, reports, and correspondence.
Read and write fluently in English.
Operate tools and equipment required.
Stationary for extended periods.
Communicate and exchange information and instructions verbally.
