Purpose

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Duties include, but are not limited to meeting customer
• Reading, setting and removing meters
• Inspections for high bills, plumbing inspections, reporting known or suspected unmetered properties
• Locate, access and operate company facilities, such as, but not limited to, curb stops, gate valves, and shutoff valves, remove debris/water from company facilities including, but not limited to meter tiles, curb and valve boxes, perform shut-offs, turn-offs, and turn-ons, perform and complete various SAP orders.

Education and Experience

• NYS driver’s license.
• Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicant must have the ability to use and operate various types of tools and equipment utilized by the company in connection with installing, maintaining, and
• operating its facilities.

Work Environment:

• Typical outdoor work environment. Work in all adverse weather conditions (i.e., rain, snow, sleet, heat).
• Stand/walk for long periods on a daily basis.
• May be required to climb or balance; reach with hands and arms; sit; stand; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear; smell; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Position frequently works in an outdoor environment with exposure to weather-related heat and cold, rain, wind, and related elements.
• May be exposed to working in close quarters, high and precarious places, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, infectious diseases.
• May occasionally be required to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to use appropriate personal protective equipment according to current safety standards and practices.
• Will be required to wear appropriate footwear to follow current safety standards.

(Hourly rate: $46.79)
