Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Treatment Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring behavioral health treatment services for youth on probation. This position serves as the central point of contact for referrals to contract clinicians, community mental health centers, and substance use treatment providers. The coordinator also manages contracts and memoranda of understanding (MOUs), ensuring quality, compliance, and accountability. This role supports probation officers by streamlining access to treatment services, reducing administrative burden, and strengthening community partnerships.
Appointing Authority and Supervision Received: 
The deputy court administrator of family court is the appointing authority.  The treatment services coordinator receives direct supervision by the programs manager.

Characteristic and Assigned Duties: (The following duties are representative of the position and do not include all duties which may be performed.)
Coordinate referrals for youth to contract clinicians, community mental health centers, and substance use treatment programs.
Track referral status, treatment engagement, and outcomes to support continuity of care.
Serve as liaison with contract clinicians and community-based treatment agencies, addressing service barriers and promoting collaborative case planning.
Manage treatment-related contracts and MOUs, including development, renewal, monitoring, and compliance oversight.
Collect and analyze data on service utilization, provider performance, and treatment outcomes.
Prepare reports for program evaluation, grant compliance, and leadership review.
Support probation officers by providing consultation, resource information, and updates on available services.
Develop and deliver training for staff on referral processes, treatment resources, and effective use of contract clinicians.
Represent the department in community provider meetings and behavioral health coalitions.
Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (This job description does not include specific physical requirements necessary to perform the job, such as, carrying, standing and lifting. Such requirements vary from position to position and may be determined by the appointing authority.)
Knowledge of mental health, substance use, and behavioral health systems.
Familiarity with community mental health centers and contract clinician service delivery.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with providers, clinicians, staff, and families.
Proficiency in data collection, reporting, and contract oversight.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
(Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis, provided a high school diploma or GED has been obtained.)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience in behavioral health coordination, case management, or community-based service delivery.  Experience working with contract clinicians and treatment providers is strongly preferred.
