Substitute Special Education Aide – Albertville City Schools (Alabama)

Spur, a digital staffing agency, is looking for dedicated and reliable Substitute Special Education Aides to support students and staff in Albertville City Schools.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assisting teachers and staff with daily activities for special needs students while maintaining a professional demeanor . Candidates must follow school guidelines and wear business casual attire . Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist children individually or in group settings.
• Support students with basic grade-level classwork .
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) is a plus.
• Escort students to activities within the school as needed.
• Adapt to various student needs and behavioral changes .
• Provide assistance to new students as required.

Requirements

• Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00).
• Complete required online training .
• Experience working with children is preferred .

Compensation & Schedule

• $15.00 per hour .
• Must be available Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (varies by location).
