Senior Construction Accountant

• $85,000–$110,000 annually
• Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

ROLE IMPACT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage general ledger integrity across all construction financials and operational accounts
• Lead monthly WIP reporting, cost tracking, and revenue recognition per project timelines
• Oversee job cost accounting: set up jobs, track change orders, allocate costs, and monitor profitability
• Support financial planning through budget creation, variance analysis, and forecast adjustments
• Partner with project managers and operations to align financial insights with field performance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and manage audit readiness year-round
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or active CPA-track required
• 5+ years of construction or project-based accounting experience, with 2+ years in a senior role
• Advanced knowledge of WIP schedules, job costing, and construction GL processes
• ERP system experience (Sage, CMiC, Vista); advanced Excel proficiency

• Audit documentation tools
PREFERRED SKILLS
• CPA license or in-progress certification strongly preferred
• Background in commercial construction or similarly structured project industries (e.g., engineering, architecture)
• Strong internal controls and financial compliance experience
