Prior Authorization Specialist (Part-Time) - Endocrinology The Endocrinology Department at MFM Health in Danvers, MA has an opening for a Part-Time Medication/Supplies Prior Authorization Specialist. This position can be in person or remote. The Prior Authorization Specialist will be responsible for obtaining all medications, diabetes supplies, prior authorizations, and processing imaging referrals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Obtain all prior authorization requests through CoverMyMeds.com and/or complete documentation from health insurance requirements/requests.
- Notify the patient's provider of prior authorization requests and any additional supporting documentation needed.
- Keep providers up to date on the prior authorization status of their patients.
- Monitor and complete prior authorizations that have been submitted.
- Utilize MFM Health Endocrinology Department medication refill protocol to address all medication refill requests.
- Properly document all information related to prior authorizations and refill requests in the patient's medical record in Athena.
- Complete requests via Parachute Portal for diabetes supplies as needed for patients.
- Monitor and complete imaging referrals and prior authorizations.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education & Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent education required.
- Experience working in medical field preferred.
- Prior knowledge of medications is required.
Schedule: - Part-time; 16 hours+
- Position can be in person or remote.
- Please note in office training is a requirement and onsite meetings may be required.
