If you're interested in a Pharmaceutical Packaging Operator job , then this is the best role for you ! This role is responsible for performing all duties related to the inspection and packaging of production lots, including cleaning and maintaining the inspection and packaging areas.

 

Job Description

  • Visually inspect product vials for defects, media-filled vials for signs of contamination (turbidity), and packaging components for quality.
  • Follow all cGMPs and complete data recording contemporaneously in associated BPRs/EBRs and inventory management systems.
  • Assemble products and components for packaging operations according to the production schedule, bill of materials (BOMs), or instructions from the assistant supervisor or supervisor.
  • Perform inventory adjustments and material movements in inventory management systems.
  • Set up the packaging line and equipment. Safely operate equipment for packaging operations and component preparation. Distribute components, supplies, and products to packaging stations as needed to maintain workflow. Unload products from storage containers and inspect for defects in container closure systems or product content. Verify correct information on product containers and components.
  • Organize and move product in and out of 2–8°C cold rooms.
  • Secure and store all in-process products and components in their designated areas.
  • Move skids, transit trays, hand trucks, and other containers of product, components, bottles, equipment, or other items as required for efficient department operations. Seal, stack, and secure cases of packaged products on skids for transport to the shipping department at the conclusion of packaging operations.
  • Perform line clearances, count and reconcile products and components, and complete all functions safely and in compliance with cGMP requirements (including recording information in logbooks and BPRs/EBRs).

 

Skills Required

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English to understand written and verbal instructions, SOPs, BPRs, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Consistent and acceptable attendance and performance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • SAP knowledge and proficiency in writing and executing SAP notifications.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain housekeeping in work areas in accordance with cGMP standards.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods (up to a full shift).
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions, bending, and twisting.
  • Ability to squat, bend at the waist, and reach above the head for extended periods.
  • Ability to identify color-coded labels.
  • Preferred: Experience operating automated equipment.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • H igh School Diploma or GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
  • Shift : 06 :00 AM
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Must work without heavy makeup and/or hand lotion.
  • Must wear required protective clothing, including latex, nitrile, or cotton gloves.
  • Ability to work in environments containing dust, corrugated materials, and chemicals.
  • Must meet occupational and physical requirement checklist standards.

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary: $23.70 to $31.70 per hour based on qualifications.
