Are you ready to move the world forward? Apply now. The Painter is responsible for all aspects of industrial coating applications for industrial concealments. Will be required to mix color, blend paint, and load paint into spray-painting equipment. This position will ensure proper application of paint on a variety of surfaces including metal and plastic. Will assist other functions of the painting department as needed including paint prep and 5S procedures. **Essential Functions:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. + Read blueprints/work instructions and examine surfaces to determine proper processing to produce a quality product effectively. + Mix epoxy and other paint and material types to define measurements and color requirements. + Load mixed paint into spray-painting equipment. + May also perform additional paint prep for proper coating, including the use of sanding tools. + Apply paint material appropriately and evenly on a variety of surfaces including round or oddly shaped objects. + Responsible for all quality standards and inspection of products. + Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per established standards. + Performs 5S and cleaning duties per department requirements. + Complete job travelers. **Competencies:** + Ability to consistently handle and follow through with multiple projects and assignments and meet deadlines. + Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. + Ability to function effectively and safely in a busy work environment. + Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be organized, be able to prioritize, and be detail oriented. + Must have a good attitude and be a team player. **Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)** + Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent + Required: 2 years of industrial-style painting in a manufacturing environment **Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:** + Preferred: 5 years of industrial-style painting in a manufacturing environment **Pay: $18 - $25 hr.** **Benefits** Valmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
