Office Position with Sales and/or Marketing Experience (Full-Time)

Blue Grass Enterprises, a third-generation sod farm in our 56th year of business, has an opportunity to join our team. As you can imagine, the nature of our sod-production agribusiness lends itself to a multi-faceted position. This employee will primarily work indoors; however, there is a physical component to this job for fulfilling sod/fertilizer/seed orders and helping to load customers outdoors. This job is perfect for someone looking for an office job with enough physical activity to keep you on your toes. This role will interact professionally with coworkers and customers, and work in a well-organized office with high-quality equipment/software. This role requires a motivated individual who can handle the wide variety of responsibilities that organically evolve in an agri-business. Out-of-the-box problem solvers are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Start Date: January 2026

Must have availability for 11 - 13 Saturdays (as scheduled) from 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM from April - October

Duties will include:

  • Working with customers with high-level customer service
  • Sales, order-taking, scheduling logistics
  • Invoicing, accounts payable & accounts receivable
  • Answering customer lawn care questions
  • Loading customer vehicles quickly and efficiently (by hand and with a forklift)
  • Keeping printed marketing content up-to-date
  • Keeping office clean and organized
  • Communicating clearly with customers and coworkers
  • Building professional relationships & representing Blue Grass in a professional manner to customers and the community

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be insurable on company policy
  • Must pass St. Luke’s “Work Well" physical (to be scheduled by Blue Grass)
  • Must have availability on Saturdays from 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM from April - October
