Job Description

A nationally recognized pediatric hospital is conducting a confidential search for a Medical Transportation Driver to safely transport young patients to and from medical appointments and procedures. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who values patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality while providing exceptional service to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport pediatric patients to and from medical appointments and hospital procedures.
  

• Ensure the comfort and emotional well-being of patients and their families during transportation.
  

• Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, following all hospital safety protocols.
  

• Monitor patients’ condition during transit and promptly report concerns to medical staff.
  

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-functioning vehicle at all times.
  

• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and hospital staff.
  

• Accurately document transportation services and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  

• Follow all traffic laws, hospital policies, and safe driving practices.
  

• Collaborate with medical staff and transportation coordinators to ensure timely, efficient service.
  

• Attend required trainings and stay current with hospital safety and compliance procedures.
  

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  

• Strong sense of empathy, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
  

• MediClear Certification (or equivalent healthcare compliance credential) required
  

• Ability to remain calm and reassuring in sensitive situations.
  

• Knowledge of safe patient handling and basic medical equipment preferred.
  

• Ability to lift or assist patients as needed and maintain alertness throughout shifts.
