**Req ID:** RQ209394 **Type of Requisition:** SCA **Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain:** None **Public Trust/Other Required:** None **Job Family:** SCA **Skills:** Confined Spaces,Electrical Systems,Mechanical Parts **Experience:** 1 + years of related experience **US Citizenship Required:** Yes **Job Description:** ELECTRICIAN MAINTENANCE GDIT is seeking a **Marine Electrician** to help support the **SACSS** program in Seattle, Washington **This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided.** **Must be a US Citizen** **Job Description:** + Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors. + Uses hand tools and testing equipment. + Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. + Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment. + Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems. + Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures. + Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications. + Works from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. + Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. + Participates in special projects as required. + Must be able to obtain all necessary badges (DBIDS and shipyard). + Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. + Performs other duties as assigned + Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 75 lbs. + Travel (within and outside of the continental United States) Maybe required for 20% of the time **Requirements:** + US Citizen + HS/GED + 1+ years of experience **GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:** + Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home + 401K with company match + Comprehensive health and wellness packages + Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career + Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications + Cutting-edge technology you can learn from + Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays **\#hireshipyardcareersgdit** The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.84 - $40.38. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
