About the role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Laboratory Technician to join our operations team. This entry-level position supports both production activities and material logistics , ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be working closely with a cross-functional team of mission-driven scientists and engineers to drive the invention and development of novel diagnostic products.

The work location for this position is Santa Barbara, California – an idyllic location offering immense natural beauty, outdoor adventure, big city amenities in a mid-sized town, and easy access to California’s metropolitan centers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine production processes, including material preparation, assembly, and testing under established protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory or production equipment as trained.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and components.
• Organize and maintain raw material and finished goods inventory.
• Coordinate and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling. Monitor stock levels and communicate restock needs in a timely manner.
• Work closely with internal teams to track materials and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Reliable, meticulous, and hard-working.
• Independent, resourceful, and self-motivated.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Ability to follow written procedures and work independently after training.
• Comfortable working in lab and warehouse environments (lifting up to 25 lbs).
