Inventory & Materials Coordinator

Troy, MI

Sunroof Express is in search of a sharp, ambitious, and enthusiastic full-time Inventory & Materials Coordinator to join our team in Troy, Michigan! In this role, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and reliable inventory records to support operational efficiency while supporting cycle counts, inventory analysis, and reporting to drive process improvements and cost savings.

• Pay: $22 – $29/hour, offer dependent on experience

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 8 AM – 5 PM
• Occasional Saturday hours may be required for database updates from cycle counts
• In office
• Full time – 40 hours

The right candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, quality assurance, and/or inventory management.
• Automotive industry experience with indirect materials is a plus.
• Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve objectives.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Our Inventory & Materials Coordinator will:

• Add and manage all new part numbers in the system.
• Maintain and update the company’s Part Master File, ensuring accuracy across all data points.
• Maintain and update the Part Interchange File.
• Review and adjust part class codes monthly based on sales volume trends.
• Manage and reconcile consumable inventory adjustments on a monthly basis.
• Analyze and present opportunities to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
• Support quarterly inventory cycle counts.
• Analyze and report KPI results from cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
