Job Description

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload pallets and materials throughout the pallet repair facility. This position supports daily production by ensuring materials and repaired pallets are efficiently transported, organized, and staged for repair, storage, or shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts to move pallets, lumber, and materials within the facility.
• Load and unload trailers and flatbeds safely and efficiently.
• Supply repair stations with pallets and remove completed or damaged pallets.
• Stack, sort, and organize pallets in designated areas to maintain safe and efficient workflow.
• Inspect forklift daily and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including pallet repair support or cleanup as needed.
• Follow all facility safety rules, including proper PPE use and material handling procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate material flow and production needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience required; certification preferred (company may provide training).
• Ability to operate forklifts safely in tight or high-traffic areas.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory flow.
• Strong attention to safety, organization, and efficiency.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in an industrial environment.
• Dependable and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced warehouse or pallet repair facility.
• Exposure to noise, wood dust, and varying temperatures.
• Requires standing, lifting, and moving materials for extended periods.
