Job Title: Dialysis Registered Nurse Facility: Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Location: Irvington, New Jersey
Shift: Full Time, 10-Hour Shift
Salary: Up to $52 per hour
Job Description: Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The RN will be responsible for coordinating and providing patient care, training, and education within our dialysis program. The role involves collaborating with team members, overseeing patient care, and providing guidance to LPN/LVN and PCT staff.

Primary Responsibilities: Clinical: - Responsible for execution of dialysis program and patient care.
- Collects, analyzes, and records patient health data accurately.
- Analyzes patient data to identify problems and develops care plans to achieve expected outcomes.
- Implements and documents interventions in the EMR, monitoring patient progress.
- Directs and supervises patient care by LPN/LVN and support staff.
- Utilizes equipment and materials safely and efficiently.
- Performs Point of Care (POC) testing and quality control as per lab policies.
- Advocates for patients, ensuring non-judgmental, non-discriminatory care.
- Ensures informed consent is obtained for all procedures.
- Actively participates in the department's performance improvement committee.
- Tracks and reports QAPI goals and works with the Nurse Manager to meet targets.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and external institutions to improve patient outcomes.
- Provides dialysis teaching and support for home patients and families.
- Offers direct patient care as needed, particularly during on-call hours.
Education: - Maintains staff competencies and ensures all required regulatory training is completed annually.
Requirements: - Education:
- BS in Nursing preferred, or AA/Diploma from School of Nursing.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months RN experience, including 3 months dialysis experience.
- Ability to assess patient status and take appropriate action.
- High level of independence with minimal operational oversight.
- Skills:
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to present solutions.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Valid State Nursing License required.
- Current BLS certification required.
