Data Migration Specialist
Plan and execute lossless, auditable migrations for core account/ledger, payments, treasury, and loan datasets from legacy stores (VSAM/DB2) to cloud-scale platforms (Snowflake/Databricks/Azure SQL).
Key Responsibilities
- Design migration strategies (big-bang vs. phased/coexistence, CDC with MQ/Kafka/GoldenGate ).
- Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines (Informatica/Talend/SSIS, Spark/ADF) with data quality gates , reconciliation, and dual-write cutovers .
- Define control totals (record counts, check sums, financial balances) and automated ledger reconciliations ; produce audit packs .
- Implement PII/tokenization and field-level lineage ; maintain Reg-report traceability (OCC/FRB).
- Coordinate migration windows around batch cycles/close-of-business , enforce rollback
Required Skills
- Informatica / Talend / SSIS, strong SQL and performance tuning; Spark.
- Banking domains (GL, deposits, payments, treasury); OCC/FRB integrity standards.
- CDC patterns, SCD management, and historical backfill.
