Construction Superintendent - GC - Base Salary to 90k/year - Bedford, OH

• Our client has been involved in the construction of more than four million square feet of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings over the past 40 years. Their various capacities include carpenter-tradesmen, superintendents, project managers, corporate officers, general contractors, and owner-developers.
  
• The Construction Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis while on the job site. The Construction Superintendent shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work is being performed.  Candidates must be willing to travel to other states such as Texas, Michigan, and California for projects.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of the project.
  
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  
• Perform pre-installation meetings for all contractor activities.
  
• Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
  
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and site subcontractors
  
• Coordination/communication with local utility companies.
  
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  
• Identify conflicts in the construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  
• Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite, including daily photos of all activities.
  
• Prepare and present daily reports, maintaining clear and effective communication with all team members.
  
• Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  
• Walk projects daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  
• Presiding over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  
• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
  
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean, safe and organized manner.
  
• Enforce and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely progress and addressing any delays or issues.

Qualifications:

• 10+ experience as a commercial Site Superintendent is required.
  
• Experienced with commercial construction projects ranging from retail space, restaurants, medical office buildings, office fit-outs, and high-end renovations.
  
• Experience in the field reviewing schedules, budgets, contracts, and other documents with field personnel, clients/owners, and architects
  
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and other construction CRM software)
  
• Experience with various software utilized for OFCC (Ohio Facilities Construction Commission)

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 90k/year
  
• Company truck and gas card
• Per diem offered for out of state travel. $50 or more per day for food. Hotel and travel expenses paid. Rental vehicles and gas paid.
