Job Description

Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, and more.
• Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
• Flagging traffic when required.
• Understanding of separation and clearance regulations.
• Moderate travel with possible overnight travel when required.
• Competent pole and ladder-climbing skills.
• Works aloft utilizing climbing gaffs, ladders, and mechanical lifts.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment such as bucket trucks, excavators, trenchers, and other machines.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Proficient in reading network design prints.
• Splicing of passive and active equipment is a plus.

Requirements

• Must have a cheerful outlook, a strong work-ethic, and the desire to learn.
• Physical capabilities including climbing, lifting, and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and possess the ability to work under pressure.
• Must demonstrate the ability to make sound and ethical decisions.
• Must be available to work after business hours as required, i.e., storm damage.
• Punctual attendance is necessary.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
