Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a CAD Drafter to join a multinational energy and gas company in Independence, OH. This is a 9-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.



Pay: $27.00 - $30.00/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description:
We are seeking a skilled **CAD Drafter** with proven experience in **AutoCAD within an industrial environment**. This role is responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings based on redlined PDF documents, using established CAD templates. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a solid understanding of industrial design standards, and the ability to work independently to deliver high-quality documentation.





Key Responsibilities

• Interpret redlined PDF documents of P&IDs to update and generate accurate AutoCAD drawings.
• Utilize existing CAD templates to maintain consistency and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify design intent and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure all drawings meet industry and client specifications.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for project tracking and archival.
• Support revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• **Proficiency in AutoCAD** with at least 2 years of experience in an **industrial setting**.
• Experience review P&IDs
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical drafting principles (depending on industry).
• Ability to read and interpret redlined documents and technical drawings.
• Experience working with standardized CAD templates and drawing conventions.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with other CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit) is a plus.
• Experience with document control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial safety and compliance standards.
