This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. The Associate Business Systems Analyst position pays between $54,720 and $68,400, the Business Systems Analyst pays between $63,440 and $79,300, and the Senior Business Systems Analyst pays between $78,640 and $98,300. Placement in any level is based on skills, experience, and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities This list does not reflect the job duties in their entirety. - Create and update business process decomposition models
- Assist with technical specification documentation for small to medium-size requests
- Collect and consolidate data to create analysis documentation under New Mexico Gas Company’s (NMGC) Systems Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
- Work with business partners to document detailed business requirements for possible systems enablement (automation)
- Assists with the analysis, evaluation, and recommendation of software/hardware for operational business changes
- Write, debug, test, and execute ad-hoc SQL scripts
- Coordinate project tasks, resources, and schedules.
- BSA & Senior BSA-Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities
Successful Candidate Must Have - Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline
- Associate BSA: 2 years of experience
- BSA: 4 years of experience
- Senior BSA: 8 years of experience and Bachelor’s Degree
- Additional experience may be considered in lieu of Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Preferences: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Banner or Hansen CIS. Experience with software requirements gathering, UI/UX design and testing, and web application support.
WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment. Some projects may require overtime and weekend work.
