Ra Coffee Company, LLC - B771 location in Goose Creek, SC is looking for a part-time barista / cashier to join our strong team. Monday - Thursday we open at 6am and close at 7pm, Friday we close at 7pm and Saturday we open at 7am and close at 7pm . Total weekly hours are roughly 26-30 per hrs . a week, with potential of varying shifts scheduled however we are primarily focused on hiring for afternoon- closing (7pm). There is also ability to pick up more hours at our other shops or covering requested time off of other employees. We are located on 1945 Fletcher St. in Goose Creek, SC on the Navy Base. Our ideal candidates are friendly, attentive, motivated, outgoing, customer service orientated, flexible, reliable and enjoys working. Also is able to work alone during part of your shift. None of our locations are open on Sunday's.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee or other beverages to customers. Serve food such as baked goods and some BOH duties such as cooking / serving sandwiches to customer order
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Follow health and safety guidelines as well as military health and safety guidelines
• Interact with customers regularly and professionally
• Clean food service and dining area.
• Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
•   Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them
•   Receive and stock supplies
•   Provide customers with product details
• Accurately receive and process customer payments

Qualifications

• No experience as a barista is necessary
• Outgoing and great customer service
• Ability to get your food handlers certificate within 30 days (we cover the fee)
• Math skills - basic math
• Ability to count / balance and handle money in the register
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work alone at some points in your shift
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Pass a background check for the Navy Base in order to obtain a contractors badge (must have a current Real ID, an ID with a star on it or a passport).
