GARAGE SALE VINTAGE – Barback Support 

Schedule: Part time-hourly

Pay: $10 plus tips

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Barback Team Member supports daily bar operations by ensuring efficient service, food preparation, and a clean, organized bar environment. This role is responsible for preparing food, supporting bartenders during service, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory to deliver a great guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support bartenders during service to ensure efficient and timely food and beverage preparation.
• Prepare and plate food items according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including bar tops, tables, chairs, and workstations
• Assist with food preparation and ensure food is presented properly to guests
• Help ensure guest satisfaction by supporting accurate and timely food and drink service
• Restock bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, ice, garnishes, glassware, napkins, and straws
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties such as washing and polishing glassware, mopping floors, taking out trash, and cleaning spills
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking, prep work, cleaning, and organizing the bar at the end of service
• Follow all cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards

Additional Duties: 

• Cleans food preparation equipment and work area according to all GSV and health & safety guidelines and standards.
• Adheres to food safety and sanitation guidelines. 
• Ensures all dishes are washed and the kitchen is clean. 
• Helps breakdown kitchen setup after service.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous bar or barback experience
• Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s license within 30 days of hire.
